WFMW-Best Gift Tip

*UPDATE* Congrats to our random linky winner #114
The Packet Queen

I can't wait to check out your tips this week! I thought I was 100% done and just realized I forgot one. I'm hoping I find a great idea today.

My tip involves do-it-yourself-gifts. I love making my gifts.

I recently discovered freezer paper. I love this stuff because you can do anything with it!
Purchase a roll of freezer paper in your grocery store aisle, next to the tin foil, etc. Print out an image you'd like to put on a shirt for your child or a pillow you're making for a gift.

Lay the freezer paper over the printed image and carefully cut it out. Your freezer paper is now a stencil.

Iron it on to your fabric. Paint. After the image has dried, pull the paper off

flower t-shirts
Perfection.

I love this stuff! It works for me.

I think these unique letters (put together to spell words) make a wonderful gift! You can buy the letters individually or have Lizzie put them together with a frame for you. The winner will receive their choice of letters (up to 9), framed and ready to keep (or give). This a $90+ value! Please take a minute and visit Tin Lizzie's Photos!

Thank you for joining me for WFMW! {You can read the guidelines here.}

Have a Works-For-Me Wednesday tip you'd like to share? I'd love for you to join us! Please note that the links will close at 9 pm CST tonight, in order to keep away the spammers!

I will have to pick up some! I'd forgotten how versatile it is. I have no site, but love coming here to read you and also Thanks, all!

I am so glad your family had a wonderful cruise/vacation - get-away!

I love homemade gifts. They mean so much more than a $20 gift from Walmart ever could.

But I'm not sure I'll be doing the t-shirt painting as Christmas gifts. I despise plain t-shirts, and my girls would LOVE this project, but I don't want to wait for Christmas. Gonna have to get me some freezer paper very soon!

Oh, I've seen those words spelled with individual pictures! To cute!!!

Love the stencil idea with freezer paper. So clever, and I'd love to win one of Tin Lizzie's photos. Great giveaway. Fingers crossed.

I discovered wax paper a while ago and have found lots of uses for it also. I use it often when working with glue or paint which doesn't stick to it. Please enter me in the drawing for Tin Lizzie's photos.

I have to admit that I was skeptical about the freezer paper idea, but I cut some in my Cricut and ironed it on a canvas drop cloth and it worked beautifully!! Thanks for the great idea!

I finally found the freezer paper and have been making tons of stencils. It's been a blast. I found that if I take piece and cut it to 8.5x11 I can run it right through my printer and get great initials from Word!

Am I missing something? I don't see the list of links for Mr. Linky.

I just may try this for my nieces. I want to give them something, but don't want to spend much money. I've been trying to think of homemade gifts and this looks like a good one!

You always host a great party! but it seems I am late to it today! I had great intentions of getting my homemade gift post up early, but just couldn't get everything done today.

I'm enjoying the links I've seen so far and hope you can come visit me tomorrow...I'll have my post up for homemade infused oils! (plus great ways to cook with them!)
