One of my favorite children's books of all time is The Cat in the Hat.
I love that cat, y'all. And not just because red and white stripes are slimming.
My hubby was working late last week, so I announced our dinner menu: green eggs and ham.
The kids giggled and said, "No, really, what's for dinner?"
I got out the food coloring.
And they got excited.
They put on their adorable Cat in the Hat aprons from Bumkins and we got busy.
We mixed eggs and added entirely too many drops of green food coloring.
We didn't have ham, per se, so we dyed Deli Cut Turkey Breast lunch meat.
Because I am Sam. Not.
A feast fit for a cat and kids. (I tried it, but decided it would be a great time to lose 5 pounds).
