I don't have a blog, nor do I have children, but I can tell you what worked for MY mother!
I never, never, NEVER said "I'm bored!" to my mother. If you did, she found things for you to do that she didn't have time to do with four kids underfoot. Things like washing windows, or scrubbing bathroom floors, or digging trenches, or whatever else she could find.
We learned quickly to make our own fun and leave her out of it!
Chores are helpful!
How about playing a board game with the kids? My kids love it!

When my kids are bored it's time to go to the library, park, or outside to play ball. I am working on setting up a trip to our local Blue Bell Ice Cream Factory soon.
