DIYP # 12- A Project, Mr. Linky & A Giveaway! Oh My!

*Update* Congratulations to Domestic Accident!  Thanks for playing along ya'll.  I enjoyed reading about your projects!

After last week's scrap book paper masterpiece, I'm sure you've all been waiting with baited breath to see what I did with the paper I decided not to use.

Well.  The waiting is over.

See my unsightly mess of cords and games in our Family Room TV cabinet?

BEFORE:

I used my handy dandy packing tape and applied the paper!

AFTER:

And because God gave me an exceptional mind, I made sure the paper matched my sofa!

I also wanted to share my real life friend Karen's idea!  She gave this to someone for a housewarming gift and I love it!

Karen bought an inexpensive watering can and applied outdoor paint with her friend's new address.  She printed the stencil from here, and filled it with some outdoor watering goodies! I can just see one of these cute cans on my front porch.  My flowers would probably appreciate it too.

Last week I mentioned, throwing up a Mr. Linky so you could share your DIYP ideas!  Can't wait to read them.  One of the lucky linky participants will win a Cath Kidston Dream Home Journal: A Style Sourcebook & Idea Organizer ($20.00 value).

I'll close down the comments at 10 pm CST on Saturday evening!

Now I'm obsessed with finding something to put my stash of scrapbooking paper to. A new backsplash, maybe??? LOL

Brilliant use of scrapbooking paper! I think I like that better than the hutch, actually. I'm with Cheri-Beri, I'm looking all around the room trying to figure out where to put some pretty paper...

Great idea! Although I dabble in DIY I don't have one for today. And you know how disastrous mine usually are. Looking forward to seeing what others are doing though!

how cute- it is amazing how much cleaner things look hidden behind things. cant wait to hide my arts and crap - I mean crafts behind a curtain in the laundry room. I did link up with my DIYP- i rushed to finish it yesterday.

I have so much scrapbook paper so I need to find a project.

I'm not that crafty, but I have been trying to get rid of all the "brass" fixtures in my 1990s era house. I have had success spray-painting those either flat black or off-white. Now I just need to find cute shades!

What perfect timing (BTW, I'm so impressed with your matching.)

I don't really have anything to link up with. But I LOVE what you did with the paper - it looks fabulous! And that watering can is an adorable idea.

Can't wait to check out the others and steal, I mean borrow their ideas! :)

I was just thinking to myself, "That is SO cute. Too bad I don't have any furniture that i could..." then I looked up and saw the huge built-in entertainment center with glass doors from here to YAYA.
I think next time you have a DIY linky, I WILL be ready!

Hello! I don't have a blog, so if I am not supposed to participate, I apologize. What I do with scrapbook paper is make edgings for my hoosier cabinet, curio cabinet and china cabinet. I change the paper per season. Sometimes, I make a scalloped
edges. Thanks, Cindi

Anyhoo, I LOVE the idea with your tv cabinet. Who knew paper could do so much???

And the watering can FABBBBO. You WILL definitely see this one in my hand at my next home party.
