Mom's Day Off

On Mother' Day, my Mommy took the day off.

Daddy was in charge.

That's why I'm very dirty.  In my pretty dress.

I ate cheetos.  And cookies.  I walked barefoot outside.

It was great.  We appreciated her a lot.

But Mom's back on the job and she 'cleaning up the pigsty.'

I don't know why she doesn't take more days off.

A sure sign around here that dad is in charge is the crazy hair and mismatched clothes.
He looks quite content in her dirty-ness!
Hope you had a great day!

I think we all know what happens when Dad is in charge. :)

Ode'to be a dad!

You know, they don't get snickered at when the kids are in disarry but we do! Daddy's also don't get any flack from the kids when all they have had to eat are cheetos?

Yep~they got it easy!

So how was your "day off" did you really take off...like yours truly?!

I'm sure you'll post!

I've always believed a happy kid is a dirty kid (when outside that is)

haha...yeah, things seem to get a little 'messy' whenever mom takes a day off for some reason! But your little girl is adorable...dirty toes and all! ;)

That's so funny. Is it a man thing? My husband seems to encourage mess from my already very messy child.
Thanks for visiting my blog! I'm having a contest, please come by and enter! I'm sure you have some great stories to share.

Yep, I know how you feel. I got to sleep in Saturday. So not worth it! Had to play catch up the rest of the day.

Very funny!

I have the opposite problem - I'm married to an OCD neat freak who likes to clean when I'm gone or off duty. Then he likes to show me how if "someone" is organized, how much more/better/faster/neater the home/kids can be. Of course, it's usually a Saturday when I've already cleaned the house and there isn't any school or extra curricular activities that keep him running all day in addition to feeding the kids and picking up after them!

Thanks for the chuckle. Your little one is a sweetie!

You must have put her in the pretty dress, because when my husband is in charge my kids look like littel orphan children. Nothing matches, stripes with plaids, high water pants. Poor things they look pitiful after a day with daddy. :)

Oh I am laughing so hard there are tears! My kids love when I leave Daddy in charge. They can watch a bunch of TV, go outside barefoot, eat bizarro things for lunch, wear mismatched clothes and run around with unwashed faces. Nirvana!

Daddy's are just so darn cute, how they try to act like they know what they are doing.

Hope you had a great day!

I am embarrassed to admit my daughters feet look like that when I am in charge... I can't keep them in shoes, so they pretty much live bare foot inside and out... winter and summer!!

Unfortunately my husband had VERY good timing when running a quick errand on Mother's Day.

Yep, Mama had to change the poo on HER day. Oh well...guess Father's day is coming soon, I'll repay the compliment ;)
