Sincerely 'Fro Me to You-The Reluctant Superhero

Welcome to this week's Sincerely 'Fro Me to You Carnival. If you want to join in, you can read the guidelines here.

As most boys do, my son had a brief love affair with Super Heroes. Like approximately 2 months. Then it ended. He moved on to something else that his sister liked. I'm sure it was pink and we had to work through it.

But for a couple of months, Spiderman and Batman were better than Dora the Explorer. This made my hubby very happy. I dug up these photos that were taken about three years ago.

My son is my compliant child. He had three temper tantrums-total, as a toddler. He's a pleaser and I love him for it.

This is one of those fits. I dressed him like a Super Hero and tried to take his picture for his 3rd Birthday party invitation since it was a Super Hero theme, and all.

Well.

This is what I got:

He did not want to pose.

Or participate, at all.

Apparently, he outgrew Super Heroes, that day.

And so, this is the photo that graced his Birthday invitation.

Lovely, isn't it? I remember being very frustrated.

But I must admit, these are some of my favorite pictures of him. Hindsight is awesome.

Now, it's your turn. Yeah! I am so excited to read your posts and laugh, I mean smile at your photos!

I wish I knew how to do all this fun stuff you do with your computer. But until I learn it I will just keep enjoying your postings. I did get photoshop today (plus a book!) so maybe I will learn how to make my pictures better!? I doubt it, but there is still my beliefs in miracles!!

I love that last picture of him. I wish mine would grow out of the wrestler stage.

I'm commenting on your comment here :) That was not a dress, it was a big ole bubble suit. You know the kind that was fitted on top and then had big jeannie pants attached to it. I can not believe I wore something that made my butt look bigger than it already was. :)

OMG, He is too cute.
Even mad, he is just edible!

Isn't it funny how some of the most frustrating moments can be some of the most cherished moments!

Bet that was one cute party invite... We have some very similar pictures at our house, but in Easter clothes.

So, did he wear the costume for the party or was he literally done with superheros on that day?

I hope you are not mad at me. Yes, I know about the rule to link to the direct page- but the problem is I scheduled the post to come up tomorrow ( you SAID Thursday!) and so I can't get direct link till then...I hope you will forgive. The picture is a real winner...lots of Aqua Net!!! Can you smell it?

I love how cute he is.
I would like to participate, but perhaps next time. I'll need to think about it some and then go through some pictures. Re-read those rules of yours and be sure to follow them appropriately.
Thanks for sharing your cute pics and humor.
Have a great rest of the week!

Those are so cute! I love fit-throwing photos. I have some at a pumpkin farm that I would frame if I were with it enough to print them and buy frames. These are so much cuter than if he had just stood still for one smiling shot.

Wow, that's funny. We did a superhero party ourselves a few years ago with our son. I don't think I had ever taken away so many weapons and swords in my life.

I'll see what I can dig up as an oldie but goodie this evening.

I forgot to comment last night. Love the superhero costume! What fun! Too funny that he doesn't want to pose. :D

OK, those pics are just absolutely adorable! I think most little boys go through a superhero stage. :)

My hubby is a big superhero pusher. Luckily my son loves it. I personally hate it too much violence but what can you do? Its a Dad thing

I can't believe that I went out on a limb today and played along with the carnival!

Very cute. I can only imagine how frustrated you were at the time though.

I have not finished my Fro Me To You post yet, but if not today, then I will post in next week.

Isn't it great to have such predictably unpredictable children? You just never know with my little girl either.

LOL...my son hasn't reached the 'super-hero' phase yet!! I'm sure it won't be long. Though he does like the pollen-jocks from the Bee Movie ;O)

He is a very adorable superhero! Love those photos.

Oh my gosh he is so adorable!!! I love that you have your own thing going on here. I'll have to read the guidelines. I love participating in these things. :) Thank you for commenting on my blog!

LOL love that third one!!! None of my kids have been fixated on anything like that. My three year old loves to carry a paper towel everywhere he goes though. What's up with that??? I'm hoping it's a phase.

Your son is too cute!!!

I love this idea! I am going to participate next week, although I don't know if I should dare to put some of the hideous old photos of me in the public domain :) (I'm sure my puppy would be mortified if she saw today's pictures on my site of her in a weird plastic skirt...)

My son is a little more practical...he went from Fireman to Pirate.

No superheroes...he did have a quickie with Spiderman, but that is about it.

:) Those were the days. He has now moved on to girlfriends and seems to have his x-ray vision set on a blonde down the street.

Since when do 10 year olds ask you if they can take the neighbor girl on a walk? EEEWWWW. I'm not ready.
