Babies and Mothers. They belong together.

In honor of Mother's Day, Babies is premiering in theaters Mother's Day weekend, May 7th!

I can't wait to see this film. As a matter of fact, when I was contacted and asked to help celebrate this ground-breaking, unique movie, I didn't want them to send me any of the amazing prizes they are giving away on my blog today. I just asked for movie tickets for my family for Mother's Day weekend. We've got plans, baby!

BABIES

The adventure of a lifetime begins…

Directed by award-winning filmmaker Thomas Balmès, from an original idea by producer Alain Chabat, Babies simultaneously follows four babies around the world – from birth to first steps. The children are, respectively, in order of on-screen introduction:

- Ponijao, who lives with her family near Opuwo, Namibia

- Bayarjargal, who resides with his family in Mongolia, near Bayanchandmani

- Mari, who lives with her family in Tokyo, Japan

- Hattie, who resides with her family in the United States, in San Francisco.

Re-defining the nonfiction art form, Babies joyfully captures on film the earliest stages of the journey of humanity that are at once unique and universal to us all.

If you have a minute, watch the short movie trailer. You'll be glad you did!

My favorite thing about my mom is how she sang all the time when we were small ... around the house, in the car, it didn't matter. She was always singing! I, in turn, have always sung to my children, and now my grandbabies. :)

Thanks for the chance to enter this great giveaway!

One of my favorite things about being a mom is that you think they can't get any cuter, or that you can't love them any more than you already do - but then they do something sweet, and you do love them more, and they are cuter

My favorite thing part about being a mom is being on the receiving end of a smile from a sleepy little girl, feeling her reaching out for my hand as she drifts of to sleep in my arms, and seeing those little hands reach for me when she's wanting to be held.

Movie looks interesting. I'll write something about my mother. She is selfless. She is always willing to give of her time to her family and others. The most important of all is that she is a praying mother. I know that she is praying for me and my family everyday.

If I had to pick just one thing... when my boys say "I love you mommeee" or when they say "kiss mommeeee!" Melts my heart everytime!! I know one day they'll be too old to tell me they love me or kiss me in public so I cherish every single moment now!! Thanks for the giveaway!

I love how ferociously protective my mom is of her kids.

The thing I love about being a mom are the hugs and kisses I receive from my children. The times they think to do something kind for someone all on their own makes me feel so proud. What a wonderful world it is to be a mother! This is what life is about. I'm so glad I'm able to be a stay-at-home-mom!!

About my mother? How much fun she made childhood for me. She was always showing me neat craft ideas and taking us on fun excursions.

About being a mom? Being able to, along with my husband, be the very first person to show new things to our kids....like read them notable books and teach them how to ride a bike.

Thanks!

I think my favorite part of being a mommy is holding a little hand in mine. Or getting a hug. Or hearing "You are the best mommy ever!" There are so many, its hard to choose. =)

My favorite part of being a mom. That warm body that crawls in my bed in the morning to give me cuddles, a kiss, and a good morning. Nothing better than that cuddle time.

My daughter is due in June. I want to see this movie with her. In fact, we were at a theater when we saw this trailer the first time. Love it.

My favorite thing about being a mom: spontaneous displays of love by my kids. Them saying I love you, or giving me hugs and kisses, squealing "Mommy!" when I walk in the door, coloring a picture for me, all the things they do without prompting, just because they love me.

My mom would iron a shirt for my dad every night before she went to bed and we would talk while she did it. It was usually around midnight and the house was quiet with just the two of us still up. I was always impressed by the little things my mom did to show love and provide service for others. She loved my dad and showed it, and I still love to iron because of her!

Heather said...

Laughing! Whether with my mom or my girls or all of us together, I just love it when we all laugh!

I love the snuggles of toddlerhood. I love that they still need me even when I think they don't. I love that they have compassion and are moved by others. I love their funny sense of humor.

Movie looks terrific!

My favorite thing about being a mom is the cuddles, especially the out of the blue, no reason except s/he wants to hug me or his/her sibling. LOVE those!

My favorite thing about my mom is that she taught me to be strong and soft at the same time. She is a proud 'Mean Mom' who is free with her 'I love you's and hugs and has always had my back even when my mistakes were hurting her.

The quiet of the night hearing my baby nuzzling wanting to nurse and the peace and joy in giving what my baby needs, and The soul bliss of a child's hug and cuddles.

One of the favorite things about my mom is how she lived out 1 Peter 3:1-6 for so many years cheerfully and beautifully.

One of the things I love about my mother and also my children is how alike we are. We think the same on so many things, it is just so fun to share so much.

I cannot wait to see this movie! I love all things baby and mama, so I know I will LOVE it. I am sure I will bawl the whole time, thinking about how awesome (even though time goes way too fast) motherhood is.

Probably my absolute favorite thing about motherhood is being my kids' most favorite person (along with Daddy). I love that they run to me when they are excited, scared, nervous, happy, etc. They are so little now, so I know I will not always be their favorite person in the world. So for now, I love it!!!!!

And my mom just rocks. The best part about her is how laid back she is. She has taught me to enjoy life as it comes and not to stress out.

Favorite thing about mothering. How can I choose just one?
Cuddles. From birth to now, age 7, I have a cuddle bunny in my arms frequently. I am so lucky.

My favorite thing about being a mom is that I am EVERYTHING to this little person. I am her best friend (for now!), her source of nutrition, the kisser of boo-boos, the giver of hugs, the one she runs to, I am her everything. I know it won't always be like that, so I am soaking up every minute that I have it. :)

I can't wait to see the movie, I love the trailer.

One of my favorite things about motherhood are tiny hands. Tiny hands that pat my arm, that touch my face, that grab my fingers. They are light as a feather but strong enough to remove the weight of the world, if only for a moment.

Chelsi said...

One of my favorites about being a mother- the little arms spontaneously wrapping around my neck and the little voice that follows with 'I love you mommy!'.

Another is when I go in to their room before I go to bed and tuck them in a second time. No matter how difficult a day, or how fussy a child has been- seeing them sweetly sleeping is amazing and good for my mommy heart.
