Please mark your calendars for the March 3 & 10 temporary move of WFMW. While I'm in Kenya with the Compassion Bloggers, Shannon of Rocks in My Dryer will be welcoming you all back to her place as she hosts WFMW for two weeks!
We'll call it a HomeComing (without a corsage).
Now. The matter at hand: a fun project I want to share with you...for you to share with others!
On a whim, I made a Lego necklace for my son. It's been such a hit everywhere he wears it:
If you have a Lego fan in the family or have a friend who adores the tiny building blocks, you might want to consider this very easy project:
1. Choose a colored square Lego brick and purchase ball chain and a package of Pendant Bails from any craft store (you'll also need some strong adhesive glue):
2. Glue the pendant to the back of the Lego:
3. Let the glue dry for at least an hour:
4. Thread the chain through the pendant bail:
5. Totally cute (and I'm not just talking about the necklace):
And that, my friends, works for me!
Have a Works-For-Me Wednesday tip you'd like to share? I'd love for you to join us! Please note that the links will close on Thursday, in order to keep away the spammers!

You're right...totally cute!
I.LOVE.THIS!
Very clever and very cute!
That is AWESOME!
My boys would totally love those! Thanks for the simple how-to!!
Clever and cute! He's a lucky boy.
I'll have to make a few - all of my boys would LOVE them!
How cool! I don't think my son's quite old enough to appreciate that.. I'll have to hang onto that thought. I don't think an army man or hot wheel would look as smashing hanging around his neck. =P
What a cute idea! I just love your blog, and now am your newest follower!!!

What a great idea! I am filing this one away.
Now that is totally cool!!! Love it!!!
That is one cute necklace that I totally saved the picture of.
My nearly 7 year old daughter wants a Lego party the beginning of February and I'm going to make those! Thanks for the timely awesome craft that will work for the boys and girls coming to her party. Now, I'll have to go dig through my husband's Legos. Shhhh.
Very cool and so easy!
So cute! I have two little boys that would probably love this!
Toni
That necklace is awesome! I saw your feature on Someday Crafts! What a fun site with waaaay too many ideas :)
What a fun idea! Very cute.
I love it! Really love it!
I've seen these at shana logic but they just cost to much to buy one right now ;(
Pretty nifty! I like the idea, and it has me thinking of what else I could glue on to make necklace gifts. Thanks!!
Love this! Great gift idea!
Hi. So fun meeting you last night! I can't believe that we are neighbors...literally! Crazy!!! We must get together for lunch, play date, whatever!!! my email is...

Our kids participate on a Lego League team here in our city. . .I think this would be such a neat thing for them to make for their team members!!! Thanks for the great idea :)
How fun! Little boys and legos! ;) -Thanks for hosting this McKlinky! :)
very cute both the necklace and the model
what a great idea thanks for sharing
This is my first time participating - I'm excited! Thanks for hosting this!
Awwww, if only I had known this a couple of weeks ago!! My 8 yr. old just had a birthday party complete with a blue fondant lego cake. In fact that was my WFMW last week, I believe. These chains would have been so cute as party favors. :)
Oh, I wish I'd thought of this before our big Lego Birthday Party last August. Great idea!
Great idea!
Love the necklace, good idea:)
Love this idea for the boys - this is a very MANLY necklace I must say!
Awesome! My husband said what I was thinking - the next step with out boys would be to "build" on their necklace. I think I could safely say that they would love it.
This is perfect! I am SO making these for my homeschool co-op class!
He is too cute and so is his necklace. Wondering if my 10 year old would like this...he is a Lego Maniac, or that's what his baseball hat reads. :-D
Hi Kristen! I realized when I left last night that I never got to officially meet you. So sad! Hopefully we'll have another get together and we can chat. Your blog is adorable and these necklaces are so neat!
I'm doing a review for an Etsy seller who makes these, she sells the pendants for $7.00 each! Just a thought if you wanted to start a little side-business :)
Also, your son is a total cutie!
That is super cute! My son would love one also.

My daughter's friend is having a birthday party this weekend and, apparently, she's VERY into Legos. I am totally making one of these for her!
Thanks for the idea!
Kristen, what kind of adhesive did you use? And do you think a glue gun would work?
thanks,
susan
We are making this. I only wish I'd seen it before the Lego Party! It would have been the perfect party favor to go with these cupcakes. I think I'll still make it for the birthday boy because he would LOVE it.
