We Have Needed Christmas Since the Beginning of Time

It's hard to find Jesus in Christmas.

His Name is right there in the very word. How can we miss it? I searched the Christmas aisles of the scrapbook store for a sticker of baby Jesus in the manger. I couldn't find one.......

That is really sad. It's like trying to find a Christmas card with Jesus in it at Walmart. Almost impossible.

I left a comment in your community about this. A few years ago we decided that we would downsize our Christmas and increase the intangible gifts. This year, as in years past, we are giving vouchers for charitable donations along with a handmade ornament to grandparents. The kiddos are old enough this year to make the ornaments and the donation is a bag full of groceries for the food bank every month. We have so much. Our needs are met and there is a little wiggle room, I get to stay home and be mommy, we have a warm and lovely home, so we are going to share what we have with others.

I have to tell you, these gifts have meant more to the recipients than anything we could have found in a store.

And, thank you so much for your blog. I don't know how you find the time and energy!

Thank you for this post. Christmas Change made a difference in my day (and my husband's). The next 10 days are going to be different for me than they would have been.

Take a look at my blog... you'll see quite a few decorations I have that only speak of Christ. Yes, we do have Santas around as well, but our focus is the REAL story! If you want the names of some places and companies, let me know!

Yes, Christmas has gotten to be too much. Wouldn't it be nice to just enjoy the season with Jesus as the main focus!. Please enter me in the drawing for your homemade Gourmet. I just recently was introduced to it at a local bazaar, and it was delicious. I need an easier fix for meals, I hope I win.

I am leaving your Anniversary wishes here! Happy Anniversary!!!
Also, I used your ornament idea in a small way this year---we don't have big letter stickers in English here in Russia, but I LOVED your idea!
