The Week in Review: Nanny from The Farm came to visit during Spring Break for a few days. And one little girl waited in anticipation for hours! We reluctantly took her back home.
Introduction into The Society: Please help me welcome Jenny from Utah!
My name is Jenny and I mostly blog because I stink at keeping a journal/diary. This has also been a great way to keep up with my sister who moved to Australia. Then I just found all this fun stuff to do in the name of blogging - so it has pretty much just turned into a full on addiction - is there a blogging patch? I named my blog "The Sound You Hear is ... LIVING!" because I had a similar theme when I was a school teacher. My classroom was always the loudest and busiest, so I put a sign outside my door that read "The Sound You Hear is Learning". Nowadays the same applies to family life, we are one of the noisiest and busiest families around, so this is just us, LIVING!
2. How long have you blogging?
I started in April 2008.
3. How would you define THAT family?
THAT family is the one that everyone else is looking at. THAT family is the one that breaks all the "rules". THAT family is the one where a mom can walk through the grocery store with one child in the cart, one child lagging behind crying and one being dragged on the floor, and her head is still held high! THAT family makes other families ask for a different booth in a restaurant just by taking one look at who they would be sitting next to. THAT family is really enjoying life!
I've always known that we were THAT family ... but tonight we were at a wedding dinner for my step sister's daughter and our little guy (affectionately known as The Boy) was running around. My husband just turns to me and says, "Enjoy it Jenny, just enjoy it. It won't be long before we're looking at someone else whose kids are running all over the place. But for now, we are THAT family." When he actually used the words THAT FAMILY, I knew I needed to grab a button and join the society.

And, I absolutely loved "What you hear is ... living!!" Genius!
I was a kdg. and first grade teacher and my room was always the loudest and most fun. I sure could have used that to put on my door!!
Loved the comment about the sound of learning/living. That was me in my teacher days!
