DIYP#24 Holiday Tree

Congrats to Muthering Heights on a fancy new wire tree! I'll email you! Y'all go visit Tortoise Orchard for some fabulous Christmas bling!

One of my favorite decorations is my little wire tree on my entry table.

{You can buy one like it here or wait around and see if you win the one I'm giving away today!}

I love adding holiday touches to the small tabletop tree. In the Spring, I hang glittery eggs and in the summer I add tin stars on the branches. Tiny fall wreaths adorn the wire tree right now.

These ornament trees are so versatile! Here's a classic use:

For Christmas, I like to turn the little wire tree into a Texas holiday.  There are so many possibilities!  Down here in Texas, we're proud of our roots. Yeehaw!

Because nothing says "Happy holidays from Texas, y'all!" like a Santa head and a shotgun shell.

Would you like your very own wire display tree? I thought so. Tortoise Orchard has agreed to send one to a lucky reader! Please, look around this great store or their ebay store linked above and tell me something besides the tree, you'd like to to have. Then, come back and leave a comment. Winner will be randomly chosen on Sunday afternoon.

Such cute stuff. I love the flower plates--they remind me of my grandmother's.

Fun giveaway! I have a similar tree, but there's something too decidedly Christmasy about it to use year 'round. Of the other items on the site, I really like the Kool Tree because I can picture it for so many different times of year.

Hello Tweeple! Well the tree you are giving away is actually my fav, but my second fav would be the Floral Glass Eggs w/ Gloss Background. I don't have a alot of Easter decorations and these are very classy.

Thanks bunches for the giveaway!

I just stumbled upon your blog and I see you are also a Texan. I am just starting to blog and I must say you have an awesome blog and it really makes me glad that we decided on just one :) though ours is 10 months and I am really wondering, did we really make the right choice? Anyways, I would love to have a wire tree. I am a Christmas nut though I am sure this year I won't be able to do near what I normally do. I am thinking that duct tape would be a good idea. It is OK to duct tape the baby to something so she doesn't touch, isn't it? (totally kidding!...tempting though :) )

Very cute idea, and I love changing things out with the seasons. I like the larger version of this tree and the Kool tree, too.

Ok so I couldn't decide on just one thing because right off the bat they were tempting me with that beautiful collection of glass glitter but after looking around I saw this beautiful Pewter ~ Feeding Time with Santa and thought I'd really like to have that too~ LOL I love the ornaments because they are familiar to me~ My mom has many German ornaments from when she was a child.
Thanks for a chance to win~ I loved the shotgun shell santa!

I really like the wire tree, but there are too many toddler fingers around here for pretty things. If I won, I'd give it to my mom and enjoy it at her house.

The glass garlands are just lovely.

I love it when people have stuff to give away, but what makes it so much cooler is when they can send me to "store" that has great products.

We are remodeling our family room and should finish this weekend. I'm putting my Christmas Tree and decorations outside as well up next weekend.

So, when I saw tree, I went nuts. I have this ceramic Mickey Mouse head that has a huge long metal piece out the top with a hook. I have a ornament for the seasons that I put on the hook, even St. Patrick's Day and the Alabama versus Auburn ornament.

Anyway, I love this tree an the way you decorate it. But, when I got over to the store, I found something that as soon as I can get my husband to make the measurement and assure me it will work, I have GOT TO HAVE IT.

We have 2 large trains that go around our tree and 2 small ones on the outside edge. It is so hard to get the kids to leave them alone....we've constructed our own barriers int he past, but this...

Thanks for the hook-up and maybe I'll win the tree too

That is just so cute. I went to a Princess House and they have a not so similar version of a tree you could use year round. And they thought quite highly of it based on their price. I was not buying into their pricey-ness.
