Sincerely 'Fro Me to You-The Ink Parlor

Welcome to Sincerely 'Fro Me to You!  I'm so glad you stopped by.  If you want to link up, here are the guidelines.  If your visiting, jump right in!

These photos are from just a couple of weeks ago, but they will neh-vah make it into a scrapbook.

Because I am ashamed.

This is what happens when you rush your toddler to the Emergency Room, ignore your older kids in the game room of a restaurant with spare quarters and let Grandparents bring them home.

and

Yes, those are lovely gumball tattoos. On my kid's stomachs.  And I did not enlarge the picture. Oh, yes, giant tattoos of beasts.

I didn't see them until the next day.  Can you just take a minute and imagine my horror?

Especially since they were going to the last day of VBS with water games, where my son's tummy was fully exposed?

Yeah.

I was so proud of his dragon.  I mean, look at that detail!

So was he.

My daughter had tattoo-regret and we scrubbed her tattoo until her flesh was red.  We quickly found out this was a quality tattoo.

The kids really got their quarter's worth.  We are all about value.

Holy cow, those things came out of a gumball machine?! I mean they really got their money's worth.

The one's my kids seem to get rub right off with some baby oil. Phew.

**note to self, no gumball tattoos**

Those are quality! I sort of want one. I'm so pleased about the last days of VBS. I mean, what a waste to get those on and have no where to go.

Reminds me of the time I tattooed myself with pen all over my stomach and chest the morning of a doctor's appointment. My mom was horrified. I still remember her trying to scrub it off in time.

BTW: so glad your little one is ok. When I was a kid, my family moved out to the country. Within the first two months my dad had to bring my brothers to the ER four times for stitches--my mom was already there b/c she worked in the hospital. It was a real treat for her.

Niiiiiiiiice!
Doesn't rubbing alcohol take those off?

I could have written this post on several occasions during my kiddos younger years.

Next time: rubbing alcohol is your best friend!

We've said no to temporary tatoos because of last minute sessions in the bathroom on Sunday morning trying to scrub them off.

Rubbing alcohol does work wonders.

These are some snazzy tatoos to come out of machine. My kids would love them. Don't tell them where you got them, m'kay?

I think I'm out of rubbing alcohol.

I have spent big bucks on those things and never gotten anything so nice! Next time use baby oil to remove them it comes off really easy that way.

Wow! Those are some realistic-looking tattoos!!!

Wow. Those are amazingly detailed!

Don't you love how every embarrassing story makes for some great blogging? Sometimes knowing I can blog about it later is the only thing that keeps me from losing it completely! : )

And, hey, at least they weren't the real thing!

Too funny and I relate all too well. Try being the pastors wife and kids and not able to remove beast tatoos. lol

Too bad I can't convince hubby to get those. Instead he's spent almost $500 on all of his tattoos, and they won't be coming off with rubbing alcohol!

We try to keep Kaia's "tattoos" girly, but you never know what you're gonna get. (wow flashed back to Forrest Gump there)

You cannot imagine how much I look forward to posting here every Thursday! The Surveyor and I have had so much fun reminiscing about the old days and digging through pictures. Thanks for putting it all together :)

Boy you really went all out for VBS this year didn't you! Gigantic dragon tattoos and nekid baby bottoms! You know how to kick it up a notch!

Funny - we're having tat issues of our own this week. :O)

Same thing happened at our house on a scheduled professional picture day... Nice!!!

Freakin' Rad, man. Just freakin', frackin' rad.

Ouchie, ouchie! Lesson learned, I'm sure! And at least they were temporary . . .

Those things make me so mad, cause when some idiot who-shall-not-be-named allows her to get them, I swear it takes WEEKS to get them off. Unless someone has a better way than scrubbing and complaining!

Okay, I should have read the comments FIRST! I never thought about rubbing alcohol. I've tried everything else, even make up removed, so I'll try that next time.

Those are some great gumball machine tattoos. At least they did put them on their stomachs! They tried to hide 'um.

There is a mexican restaurant that carries these things where we live. My son begs to go to this restuarant just for the tattoos.

The 18 year old wants a tattoo. A reall tatto. Maybe I can persuade him to go with a gumball one instead.

Mother Hen said...

I guess they might be making them differently now, but I always had the best success with baby-oil.

The dragon rocks, but I think I would have opted for a tramp-stamp. :)

I have been in the same boat when my dad has my kids or hubby for that matter! Just take them to the pool a few times and they will come off sooner :)

Why does it always seem like kids want to embarrass you at church? It never fails!

Mel @ A Box of Chocolates said...

Those are some massive tattoos!! Granparents are the greatest aren't they??

Karen said...

I find that hysterically amusing only because it very well could have been my kids. But I'm sorry it happened at VBS. That's the way it always goes.

Our Crooked Tree said...

Wow, look at the detail. I swear when I looked at the pics I thought they were real!

Karen said...

That's so funny! We haven't reached the gumball tattoo stage yet, but I'm sure my hubby's twin sister (who also introduced the much-reviled Play-Doh to our cherubs) will not wait long to put some on my babies.

That made me chuckle. I thought you were going to say you ran off and got a tattoo! DD doesn't know about these yet but she did rack up on the bouncie balls once when PaPa was in town!!
