I love me some words.  I surround myself with them.  That's why I'm kinda wordy.

My home tells a story.  Literally.

Here is what it is saying:

"Welcome to my .

I'd like to say it's , but we live in the city.

One day though, we plan  to   and have

We produced one strong girl who is reminded daily

, whether she is currently grounded or not.

Our son, sandwiched between two sisters feels like walking the plank some days.

His heart sings this song .

And the baby doesn't go to bed without saying  .

I am the , but I do not

But even I have to remember the motto of our home:  .

Many of my wall words came from this fabulous online ebay store called Just Stickem Up.  This is the newest craze in home decor.  And you know me,  I'm cutting edge in that department!  This is an affordable way to jazz up a room and to make a statement.  These are also so easy to apply and remove!

Ok, I would so cutomized one to say your house motto. "You get what you get and you don't throw a fit." It would go so well with my "NO WHINING" sign.

Love you forever. Reminds me of when my kids were little enough to read to. Do you know this one: I'll love you forever. I'll like you for always. As long as I'm living, my baby you'll be. Dang thing choked me up every time I read it. Even though I read it at least 1 million times. :D

2 weeks ago we moved into our new home. My husband and I just finished putting primer on the nasty mustardy yellow (not pretty, trust me!) in the living room tonight. We will be painting it a beautiful Belle Grove Buff color. We have a plant shelf across the ceiling that I was just telling him I would love to do this new decorating technique called vinyl lettering! I went to read my blogs and ran across yours!!! Oh. My. Word! What a cool site on eBay. I totally want the As For Me and My House scripture!!! Anyway, even if I don't win, (which I totally hope I do!), I will probably be ordering something!!!! Anyway, now that I've totally bored you and gone on and on, thanks for offering this!

Oh what a beautiful post! I love ALL of those word art pieces you have and that site is truly amazing. It's so great that you are able to host a giveaway!

My absolute favorite, though:

"Hundreds of people have eaten here and gone on to lead perfectly normal lives."

I like to think that I'm a good cook. Sometimes, I am. But I also have a lot of "kitchen issues." I have dropped a pre-heated cast-iron skillet and ruined a rug. I've burnt rice too many times to count. I've microwaved non-microwavable items a few times. The list goes on.

Thanks for a great giveaway!

brooke said...

Those are awesome! I would totally pick the "Tomorrow is always fresh, with no mistakes in it" quote from Anne of Green Gables.

Yard Sale Princess said...

I just started to redo The Bella's room in a garden theme. I would love to put

sleep tight little one like a bug in a rug
in her room.

I also need You get what you get so don't throw a fit in the kitchen or maybe just tatooed on my forehead!
Thanks for the giveaway

Your home is so cute - will you come decorate mine? I have seen these sticky words, but they were much more expensive than these! I like "Memories are timeless treasures" and of course, "As for me and my house...".

But, I have to admit (ssshhhhh) that I really like the Dwight Schrute quote though I would never put it on my walls.

Marni's Organized Mess said...

I LOVE LOVE LOVE the wall words... I haven't gotten as many as I'd like though. :)

Bunny B said...

Oh... I love so many sayings! Like "When I count my Blessings, I count you twice" , "The future belongs to those who believe in the beauty of their dreams", "You're Braver than you believe, Stronger than you seem
and Smarter than you think" , "Be the
CHANGE you wish to see in the WORLD". Great sayings! :)

I was just showing these to my husband the other night! I would get the As for me and my house one....love it. Thanks for hosting a great contest.

Oh wow you must live in such a cool house! I'd love to have a wall that said -
"peace.
it does not mean to be in a place
where there is no noise, trouble
or hard work. it means to be in
the midst of those things and still
be calm in your heart."
But I guess it'd have to be a pretty big wall to fit all of that! LOL

twin power mommy ♥ said...

"As for me and my house...."
have always liked that saying.

I really liked how you used all those words together like that.
I've done something similar with magazine phrases and taped them all to my closet door (when i was a teenager)

Gigi said...

I love, love, love vinyl lettering!

Of the ones I had time to look at, I like "You are braver... stronger... smarter... than you believe!" That's one I haven't seen before.

My all time favorite funny one is a little different than the one on Just Stickem Up. It says: LAUNDRY ROOM "drop your pants".

Kristen you have such a great blog!

I love this! It's funny. I have uploaded sign pictures and was thinking of doing a post something like this... so I am working on that later today! I hope you stop by and see my signs. We moved a year ago and while moving my hubby commented on how many signs I had (since I had them all sitting together to box up.) I thought about it and I do like signs. They can cheer you and remind you of things when you see them! I too like SIGNS! Thanks for the contest!
I love the wall art (I have none like this) that says "Grow old along with me.. the best is yet to be!" I'd like that in our bedroom. I also like the stick family hang-ups!
