Southern Living
I've been playing around with my mantle since I saw this article on Harvest Mantles in October's Southern Living Magazine. I added some playful gourds and pumpkins and a swag my sister made. What do you think?
I love decorating with cheap items like candy corn and things found in nature.
Don't you just love this jar with the chalkboard sign? The possibilities are endless!
At Sams' I was grabbing a few grocery items and I saw this great idea in their floral department:
Grand, huh? I thought so, considering it was the size of my toddler.
It was $80. I seriously thought about putting back all my groceries and getting this instead.
But my family likes to eat.
They are so demanding.
Here are some other fun ideas:
Hostess with the Mostess has some great ideas for candy corn:
And you can order this for someone special for a big price tag from Telaflora, or make your own! Grab some flowers and a vase and do this:
I haven't tried this BHG idea yet, but I think this candy corn topiary is so cute!
Here are the instructions.
You don't have to spend a fortune to invite Fall into your home!

Terrific tips! I can't wait to make the candy corn candle holders - adorable! Blessings, Whitney
What a GREAT bunch of ideas!
Come see me, I am doing a Giveaway!
Thanks for the ideas! I was just thinking that I need to spice up my house for FALL.
Great ideas! Your mantle looks awesome! I love using candy corn for decorating in the fall.
I love the idea of putting candy corn at the bottom of the vase then putting flowers on it! It is so cute!
What a bunch of cute ideas! I'm going to have to think on this one!!!
Your mantle is beautiful! I feel like such a slacker, though. The only holiday I decorate for is Christmas. I think everybody else's decorations are beautiful, it has just never occurred to me to do that for anything other than Christmas. Maybe one day I will wake up and it will hit me!
Yes but how can I EAT the candle corn if there is a candle stuck in it???
:)
I would weigh 1,000 pounds if I decorated with candy corn!
Love, Love, Love it!! Thanks for sharing.
I'm such a sucker for candy corn - YUMMY ideas!
The candy corn decorating ideas are cute, but that would never work in my house. There would be burnt fingers (from the candles) and flowers all over the floor as the boys (and I!) swiped all the candy!
I love the mantle! Great ideas, all of them.
That's it. YOu have inspired me and I cannot resist anymore! I am off to the craft store later!
So cute! Great ideas and I love your mantle! :)
I would end up eating the decorations if they involved candy corn, but they are cute.
Love these. I hate the taste of candy corn, but decorating with it...cool
I love the candy corn stuff.
Cute ideas!! I'm not a big fan of candy corn as a treat - but as a decoration is really fun!
Once again you have just out done yourself. I love these ideas. I don't know how you find the time to come up with all these ideas. But sure glad you do.
Love your mantel, I must have that chalkboard jar!!! Love that!
Is it just me...I could not view your last 3 pics? Drats!
I just posted about some cute Trick Or Treat buckets that I made, really cheap, too :)

Neat ideas .. I was browsing The Inspired Room a while back and got some great ideas and went a bad w whole bag of the stuff.
Sad thing is, I can't keep my boys out of it .. so I am glad I didn't make any candy corn garland!
That empty mirror with the fabric GIRL!!! I haven't seen that in your house before and I adore it!
PS, I need to know all about it!!!
Lots of cute ideas! Love the candy corn...
