My Kitchen is Glovely! (Giveaway)

*Update* Well. I hope you all keep your promises and clean, whether you win or not.  But it looks like Courtney and Amy will have a good reason to keep their promise! Congrats girls, on your Glovelys!  Email me!

Shannon over at Rocks in My Dryer asked for Kitchen tips that work for you.

Well.

As many of you know, the kitchen isn't exactly where my best work is done. I actually burned grilled cheese sandwiches for dinner this week. And that takes talent.

It's a high calling.

I may not be serving up fine cuisine, but I can clean up messes.  It's called experience.

And my kitchen is sparkling clean, when I wear these:

Domestic Diva Gloves by Domesticated Diva.

These fancy rubber accessories bring out the Domestic Diva in me.

Nothing says I am woman more than a bottle of 409 and feminine gloves.

You should see my fine sweeping job when I use my pretty broom!

Leave me a comment and tell me what you'll clean with your Glovelys if you win them.  I will choose two winners on Thursday at noon (CST)!

I might not mind cleaning the toilet so much if I could wear those lovely gloves! Nope...that is probably a lie. But at least I would look cute doing it.

The Southern Family said...

What?? No comments yet? I would totally clean some fabulous toilets with those on, and maybe not even complain TOO much about it- especially on the one where the young boy goes. You know what I mean- I think you have one of those too!

I'd bathe the dog! Hope i win!

Judy said...

Oh MY! What a treat! I might actually enjoy scrubbing my porcelain sink with these beauties on!

Ooh, I love those! I'd maybe even scrub my toilet with those. Maybe.

Tammy said...

I'm not so much a girly girl, but I think those was WAAAY too cute to clean the toilet with. So I guess I'd stick to looking cute in the kitchen with them! :-)

I would clean the kitchen with them or use them to clean the tub. There very pretty gloves to help make my place sparkly.

OOOOH those are so cute!!!! I get teased all the time in my house because I wear gloves for everything. I would love to wear these cute pink ones instead of my boring old yellow ones!!! I would most likely use them for doing the dishes they are too pretty for toilets :)

Those put my dollar store gloves to shame. SHAME.

Your grilled cheese story made me smile. Like ear to ear. To this day my Dad thinks I like my grilled cheese burnt. Because when he cooked them for me when I was little he always burnt them on accident and I'd say, no no Daddy, I like them just that way! Note to self, call Dad. :o)

What wouldn't I clean wearing those? I might start looking for things to clean just so I could wear them. And I bet I'd take pictures and blog about them. Where did you find them? I've learned (and it took a while) that I'm a bit OCD about clean hands. Oh, I won't scrub my skin off or anything, but I avoid situations where my hands touch icky stuff like soap scum, dust, dried toothpaste...

Scarlet O'Kara said...

Wow...what wouldn't I clean wearing those lovely gloves!

I would scrub the stove and fell like a pretty cleaning princess.

Forget cleaning...I will pair them with my maribou mules and black velvet bathrobe, then prance around the house pretending to be a sexy housewife. Allow me my delusion for at least the fifteen minutes I have to myself, LOL!

Jocelyn said...

What would I clean?
They boys bathroom, they have their own bathroom, and it is well, dees-gust- ing. I would steam clean those tiles from top to bottom with my girlie gloves. Then, I would clean my show saddle with my gloves becasue the leather cleaner gives me a rash.

dicity said...

I would scrub my tub with those beauties.

Jackie said...

Ohhh...if I win these, then I will have no more excuses for not cleaning my shower. The worst job EVER for me.

shoutingforha said...

Those gloves are so cute! I really hope I win!

I could clean all kinds of things without ruining my hands... the shower, toilets, the floors, dishes...

Pixie said...

Ummm, definitely a must for working with bleach on that shower-door-slider-track mildew issue :-( So far, I've avoided doing it because I have no gloves (cute or otherwise). Hey, and I bet my daughters would be lining up to clean the bathroom if they could wear these! Yes, yes! Could I have several pairs, please? LOL!

Lorie said...

I am not sure I would clean anything with them...my daughter would probably steal them because they are pink!

I would probably use it to clean the pig trough that is underneath my kitchen table. With 3 kids ages 6, 3 and 2 going underneath my kitchen table is pretty scary between dried macaroni noodles, hardened maple syrup and little globs of maple and brown sugar oatmeal. Once that stuff dries it takes some mighty strength to scrub it off.

Groovewoman said...

OH GIRL... what would I NOT clean with these fabulous girly glovely's? Sheesh, my whole house needs a once over, because I missed out on spring cleaning this year! What REALLY needs to be done, is the bottom of the fridge and Girl YOU KNOW you don't want to touch any of that with bare hands! Nu-uh... girls got to have some gloves on to do that job!

I'll be waiting on the glovelys before I tackle that job! :D

Anonymous said...

I used my not so lovely gloves today to cut pork. Why? Because I was cutting with no gloves and cut my finger. Bad. So after I washed off all the pork grime from my hands, dried them, stopped the bleeding and applied a bandage, I decided I needed a bit more protection than just a bandage and my skin. On went the not so lovely gloves.

Oh, you said "clean with" didn't you? I have a fair share of dishes I have to hand wash to keep them looking nice. I don't know why I still have them. Maybe it's the closet OCD coming out it me. But that's what I'd clean.

Jenny said...

I would use these oh so cute gloves to feed rotten food to the 4 lbs of worms in my classroom. It is the classroom chore I put off the most. If you are going to take up vermicomposting you might as well look good as you do it!

Joan said...

What timing!
I just posted about my love of cleaning products and I have a crush on those Glovelys.

I think I would use them to clean the kitchen and the bathrooms.

Great cleaning products always put me in the mood to clean.
Thanks for the giveaway!

Staci said...

Oh they are so cute. I wear gloves for everything. If I won those I would enjoy cleaning out the fridge. I hate cleaning it out because that means I mught actually have to touch the food inside the container. BLAH!!!

Love those pink gloves! These might make cleaning a little more fun. :)

My bathroom!! Keeping a bathroom clean that is used by 7 people is sooo not fun. But with these wonderful things, at least I'll feel glamorous while I do it!

Oh cleaning the toilet might actually be enjoyable. Ok maybe that is taking it a bit far!

I could never use something that pretty to clean the toilet but I would use them when cleaning my fridge and stove. Those are meant for kitchen work ... not a bathroom!

Debbie said...

I probably wouldn't clean anything with those girls on my hands. But with those on and nice dusting of flour (like in the Rice Krispies Treats commercial) everyone would think I had been cleaning!

Anonymous said...

I'd clean the bathrooms! How fun they look! Thanks!

Lori said...

Glovelys - hmmm? Do you think they might inspire me to clean that blasted kitchen floor??? :)

Anonymous said...

So pretty, I might even be motivated to clean the toilet!

Marie said...

I hate to say it but I'm sure my hubby would steal them to clean the toilets. That's his job and he's always stealing my dad's surgical gloves to do it.

Kristi said...

I think I'd have a new motivation to clean my bathroom =o)

Patois42 said...

Do I actually have to clean? Because that color is identical to a blouse I have. I could wear it out to a formal affair...or maybe a PTA meeting?

Okay, seriously, I'd use the gloves when washing my mutton head. (That's the dog, not a meat product.)

Anonymous said...

I love them!!! It's about time to clean out the ol' fridge again. They might be too pretty to clean the toilets with.

Anonymous said...

Oh! I would have such a glovely time watching Mr. Man clean up the messes our geriatric poop machine leaves for me each and every day while wearing those pink beauties. Wait. Did I just say that out loud? Ahem. What I meant to say was.... cleaning up after my sweet, 15-year-old Cocker Spaniel would no longer be a chore, but a joy while wearing those lovely glovelys. I think even my poop-phobic three young daughters might be able to conquer their fears and do a little doggie duty themselves while adorning such glovelys. =)

And, some day I will figure out what my password is and will then be able to comment without being anonymous.

If I had some glovely gloves, I'd clean the bathtub.

Wait ... I make my husband clean the tub ... well, then I wouldn't have to wait for him to do it!

Raise Them Up said...

My husband borrowed my gloves to replace the sewer tank pump--say it with me, "Oh, YUCK!" and naturally I told him to KEEP them! But, he wouldn't dare walk off with these!!

Oh how I'd love to use them to really, really clean my ENTIRE kitchen, inside and out, not to mention my windows, bathrooms, tubs, and fridge drain tray. I might even get brave enough to pull out my stove. . .

Then, when all my work was done, I'd pot a pretty new plant to winter-over by my sink and lay the gloves out with it for all to admire--from a distance, mind you!
What a great give-away and inspiration!

Well, with 5 Pirates I have lots of cleaning up to do, most of which is best done while wearing a nice, thick protective coating of latex or whatever. ;)

These gloves remind me of the one's worn on a BBC cleaning show. :-) I will clean my 2 and a half bathrooms and kitchen with these lovely gloves and look smashing doing it. :-)

I don't know if I would be cleaning up...but the 11 year old that doesn't turn in his homework would be wearing them to wash the kitchen floor and hallways. Yes...I am that mean when it comes to homework! lol

I would use them to clean the bathroom, and any floor that needs a good scrubbing. How fun!!

Those are cute!!! I want some.
As for what I will clean, hmmm

Kitchen Sink
Toilet
Shower
Trash Cans (they always seem to get gross, even with the bags in them)
I may even wear them to the store. Yucky germs on the cart!

Oh I bet my husband would even use them for diaper duty (If I win I'll be sure to get Pictures of that!!! *hint hint*)

Ooo those are really cute gloves. I think you and I should team up. I'll cook. You clean up. I can cook, but the clean up - I'm not so good at that. My kitchen counters really need a good cleaning right now. Too many little crumbs of this and that hanging around the corners.

Janis Rodgers said...

I think I could clean MUCH better with those gloves! Please enter me!

Those are so pretty! Maybe they would inspire me to stay on top of getting dishes done all the time and keep my hands looking "lovely" at the same time.

MJ @ 517 Creations said...

Oh my gracious! I could have used those this morning when I deep cleaned my kitchen...then I wouldn't have these pruny, tingly fingertips! If I were to win the gloves, I'd deep clean the kitchen a little more often (I hope!). :)

Anonymous said...

OOOOO those totally remind me of the gloves that Kim and Aggie use on "how Clean Is Your House" on the BBC. I *heart* them!!! I am a cleaning FOOL so I would start with a hands and knees aproach to my kitchen floors then scrub both bathrooms top to bottom!

Anonymous said...

I agree with the others who said they are too pretty to use while cleaning toliets!

However, today I signed a lease for my first apartment! I have lots of cleaning to do because the previous tenents didn't exactly leave it sparkling clean. I could definitely wear gloves like that while cleaning the kitchen!

Robin said...

Ummm, dishes, dishes and more dishes!!! Seems there's a never-ending stream of them around here and not everything can go in the dishwasher.

Clean? I'm not sure I will. I was thinking of donning Glovelys and an apron when the hubs gets home from work. (After securing an overnight at Auntie's for the kids). ;)

Lori said...

So cute! Since I'm getting used to our new home, I'd give the bathroom a DEEP clean. It's still kinda gross to think about using someone else's bathroom - ya know? :)

It's me said...

In honor of winning, I will clean a glass and pour a French 75, a drink to toast things of dubious nature. Like cleaning.

French 75
Ingredients:
- 1 1/2 oz Gin
- 2 oz Lemon Juice
- Champagne
- 2 tsp Superfine Sugar
- Garnish: Cherry

Oh, those gloves are so pretty that winning them might motivate me to take down and clean the big flourescent light cover in the kitchen. You know, the one with all the dead wasps and ladybugs delicately silhouetted against the bulb? The one that hasn't been cleaned since we moved in. (And I'm not telling how long THAT'S been.)

Stefani said...

I would love these to clean my kitchen! They would look great with my vintage aprons! My theory is that if I have to to the yucky work anyway, why not look cute while doing it?? Thanks for the awesome giveaway!

marigold said...

With those love gloves, what wouldn't I want to clean??

Heidi Boos said...

I'm thinking I would probably wear these gloves just to wear them they're so cute. But most often I would wear them to do the dishes each night. I might actually look forward to it with these babies adorning my hands! ;)

JStacie said...

Anything to motivate me to clean, right?

Actually, I always have dishes leftover after I have filled the dishwasher. Maybe this would encourage me just to finish them by hand instead of lazily waiting for the load to finish.

Erica said...

The bathroom and I have a love-hate relationship. I love taking baths and I quite enjoy having the use of the modern toilet, but I absolutely despise cleaning the bathroom. It grosses me out. To the point of not doing it nearly as often as I should. If I have "Delovely" Glovelys, my bathroom and my family will thank you for the lack of scuzz. Thanks!

Anonymous said...

What would I clean? Hmmmm. You mean I couldn't just lounge on the couch popping bon bons in my mouth? Darn. Probably the walls (cursed with eternal fingerprints) and my yucky shower! Glove me, Baby!

Tami said...

I'd clean everything if I was wearing those.....yeah, that's exactly why my house isn't always clean....I don't have those adorable gloves :)

Oh, I could definitely use these - for starters to clean the pee off the potties that my four year old uses - not just his, but all of them. And it gets everywhere. Not quite sure how, but it is gross.

Sarah said...

Don't EVEN make me take a picture of the potty at the end of the day... I'll just say that I have 3 little boys that use the potty and 1 big one (and one to be using the potty in about a year and a half)... My husband would get a kick out of those gloves... even the name, how cute. Anything I can make pink around here is safe from my boys stealing it!!!!

PLEEEZZZZ!!!! I NEED PINK POTTY CLEANIN' GLOVELYS!!!

Lisa@BlessedwithGrace said...

Would it be bad, if I say, I would probably wear them while cleaning the toilet? It sure would make cleaning the toilet a happier moment, for me.

I could use some feminine gloves to clean with. I would start with the oven top and stove! Then the bathtubs/showers would be next on my list! Please enter me in your lovely glove drawing. Many thanks, Cindi

I know...how about I cook for you and you come over and clean for me! Great...

Well, I guess if that doesn't work out, I would wear the gloves to clean my bathrooms!

Are you sure??? I'm a good cook... just have a dirty house!

I'd totally scrub the toilet. Then wear them to the grocery store. With a crown on.

judybrittle said...

I don't know about cleaning with them but before everyone gets home I'm going to be wearing them huff and puff a little and it will look like I spent a day cleaning.

GlennsinTX said...

Love them! Can't decide if I would (a) wash dishes on Sunday nights when we cook for 200 college students at our church, OR (b) wear them at home, light a lemon-scented candle, a clean laundry-scented one, and make my family just THINK I'd been busy cleaning all day!

Barb Szyszkiewicz said...

I'd use them for dishwashing. Those are FAR cuter than the plain old Mr. Clean gloves I use now. They're so cute, I might actually ENJOY washing the dishes!

Donna Kay said...

I would DEFINITELY clean up the shooting range that my preschool grandson uses in the bathroom! ! !

These glove would be divine! ! !

Shane H. said...

I would use them in the bathroom for sure. I'd clean the grime out of the tub and clean all the boy pee off of the toilet. How do boys miss that big hole anyway? With spiffy new gloves, I could do both while smiling... I think. :)

Hi Kristin- I just found your site looking for some Glovelys! I actually found the first ones a few months ago and am selling them on ebay. I am starting an ebay business with the vision of having a resource for my missions travel(much into persecuted areas). And while trying to get this to be a profitable business for the Kingdom, my house is sorely neglected! IF you should choose me, I will clean everywhere I see!!! (and there is not one inch that doesn't need it!) What a fun way to dress up your chores and put a little smile into your day! (and anyone that may happen to stop by!!!)
Bless you for your blog and your hearts for the persecuted Church.
God is truly bigger than anything the enemy can throw at us. Isn;t it incredible that the thing the devil uses to try to divide the Church is the very thing that has caused us to grow and prosper in Christ! His ways and His thinking are truly not ours!!!!
