WFMW: Create a Gift Wrapping Center

You could create this anywhere, but I love that it's above a counter in her laundry room:

  • She uses paper towel hangers to hold spools of curling ribbon
  • A long towel rack holds tissue paper
  • A wooden hat rack is the perfect place to hang ribbon
  • An unused vase holds bows
  • The double plate stand is a catchall for tape and cards

Thank you for joining me for WFMW! {You can read the guidelines here.}

Have a Works-For-Me Wednesday tip you'd like to share? I'd love for you to join us! Please note that the links will close at 9 pm CST tonight, in order to keep away the spammers!

What a super idea! You really could put that in so many places of your home without taking up too much space! I love it!

That is very clever! And I have just the spot for it.
Thanks for hosting and for sharing a great idea!

I LOVE the use of the paper towel roll holders!

Great Idea! I use a basket for the ribbon, but it gets really cluttery -- I'm going to give this a whirl!

(golly that sounds corny....)

(am I the only person left in the universe who says "golly"?)

This looks so organized and way beyond my gift wrapping skills!!! I usually manage to get our kids to decorate some paper but you can safely forget about ribbons and things!!!!

Oh I do love having my ribbon & tape & tissue all right there...makes wrapping up goodies so much easier!
I have my 'wrapping area' set up in my laundry room too!

What a fantastic idea!, I will have to remember that one. Great use of the space that is wasted in your laundry room.

Such a clever and cute idea! Love it!

Wow. I would just be happy if my laundry room LOOKED like that. Or was that clean!

I love it! AND I was just looking at a project in the Lowe's craft magazine about a gift wrapping center. Now I am going to go look around for a spot to put mine. probably garage.

Look at THAT! I need her to come do something with my TINY laundry room. On second thought, I don't want her to see it! ;)

I love it! It reminds me of the girl scout gift wrapping station in the mall. When I was a kid we would set up shop at the local mall to gift wrap presents as a fundraiser/charity event.

LOVE that gift wrapping center! One would fit nicely in my laundry center as well.

that is cool - I wish I had space in my house

How creative! What a great use of space. I love all the hanging ribbon.

I showed the pictures to my husband and he didn't get it. It's a girl thing.

I think that is such an AWESOME idea! Love it!

I love the expandable "coat hook" used for hanging the ribbon. Awesome ideas!

I vow that one day I will have the space for a gift wrapping center. Right now I barely have a laundry room. Love the idea. Very cute.

Megan said...

If I could just manage to keep the tape in the general vicinity of the wrapping paper, I would consider myself a gift wrapping success story.

As it is, tape is a more valuable commodity around here than beautiful fall days. And we all know how valuable those are...

That's a really great idea! This is the first I've seen of this meme, but I will join in once I have my new desk/work station complete and organized.

Rachel said...

I love the idea, but I don't see any actual gift wrap, just tissue paper, and no gift bags for the tissue paper. Wonder if they are hidden under the ruffled sink skirt? It is georgeous though!! I also really like the chalkboard - looks like a 'refirb' mirror. I WISH I were as creative as y'all are!!

Rebecca said...

That is one beautiful laundry room! I have a big room, but it's unpainted and very utilitarian. I'm thinking that someday...paint could make it a better room.

For gift wrapping, I love setting up a table in our basement guest room during the month before Christmas. The whole room can become the private haven for whoever is prepping gifts, and I get everything put back away by the time Christmas guests arrive to use the room for ... well, sleeping.
