THAT Family Tree Society-Issue 37

Picture of the Week:

The Week in Review: Just an average week of my son enjoying his dress up box. Lately, he's really been mixing things (costumes) up a bit!

Introduction into the Society: Heart Reflections! I love answer #4 (check out the slip n slide in the upstairs hallway!)

1.    Tell us a little about your blog (name/reason why you blog):

My blog, Heart Reflections, began as an outreach to help Christian women in my area talk about real life.  It's another way that we can connect with each other outside of church and bible study.  However, I soon realized that blogging can take our large planet and link Christian women together in ways only God can explain.  Finally, writing is therapeutic and blogging helps me refine my skills.

2.    How long have you blogging?
Heart Reflections began in summer of '08.  Although I started "dabbling" in the blog world in summer '07.

3.    How would you define THAT family?
THAT family is the family where crazy things always seem to happen.  THAT family knows this and doesn't mind sharing it.  THAT family tend to be in the spotlight because of its crazy nature.  And THAT family is often talked about during other families' dinners.

4.    When did you discover you were a part of THAT family?

My husband is a pastor.  So, I knew we would be in the spotlight.  However, we didn't become THAT family until children arrived in 2001.  Although there have been many crazy things that have occurred, let me name my top 3.  #1: my oldest daughter painting herself pink during nap time.  #2: both daughters at ages 2 & 4 playing slip and slide in the upstairs hallway, thus creating a flood to occur in the main floor (which resulted in $30,000 worth of reconstruction).  #3: getting the police called to our home because oldest daughter was screaming at the top of her lungs not wanting to go to sleep.

5.    Where can we find your blog?
